COUNCIL MEETING 06/11/18 (Park Goals, Historic Overlay Update, MoDOT Signage, Fire Chief, City Auditor Assistant)

Chillicothe City Council members on Monday met in executive session and approved the hiring of Hannah Fletcher as a full-time assistant to the city auditor. The vote was 4-0.


Chillicothe City Council members will meet in regular session at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2018. Agenda items include discussion about MoDOT signage for Highway 65 at 1st and 2nd Streets. Rep. Rusty Black, Chillicothe, will present a special recognition to Chillicothe Fire Chief Darrell Wright, who was named Missouri Fire Chief of the Year. Representatives of the newly-formed Friends of the Park will be on hand to introduce the organization and share information about its goals for the city parks. Administrator Darin Chappell will discuss and present an ordinance regarding a historical preservation ordinance in relation to the historical overlay district. The administrator also will discuss and present an ordinance regarding an agreement with MoDOT for welcome signs. The council will consider a resolution regarding conflicts of interest.

An executive session, closed to the public, is scheduled to follow the regular meeting.
