COUNCIL MEETING 08 14 17 (2017 Tax Rates, Right-of-Way Easement, Pickleball Court, Historical Preservation Ordinance, Canine Drug Dog, 911 Dispatchers, Construction Trailer Parking)

The city of Chillicothe will have its annual hearing to consider an ordinance setting the 2017 tax rates when the council meets at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall. Also on the agenda will be:

  • Attorney Robert Cowherd presenting an ordinance regarding right-of-way easement to Art Haynes;

  • Parks Director Josh Norris regarding a pickleball court in Simpson Park;

  • Main Street Chillicothe representatives discussing a historical preservation ordinance;

  • Police Officer Grider discussing a proposed budget for a canine drug dog;

  • Cindy Hanavan discussing a new 922 system and the importance of 911 dispatchers;

  • Mayor Chuck Haney making an appointment recommendation to the Housing Authority Board;

  • Attorney Cowherd discussing and presenting an ordinance regarding construction trailer parking.

  • An executive session, closed to the public, is scheduled to follow the regular meeting.
