COUNCIL MEETING 12/11/17 (Airport Runway, GIS Aerial Pictures, Sunset Village Subdivision Streets, CPD Personnel)

Chillicothe Police Officer Michael Smith has been promoted to the position of detective. Chillicothe City Council members unanimously approved the promotion during an executive session last week. Smith was chosen from a pool of candidates who went in front of a board that consisted of Missouri State Highway Patrol and Chillicothe Police Department sergeants. Smith has worked in law enforcement since 2010.

The Chillicothe City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the council chambers at City Hall. Agenda items include discussion and ordinance accepting a contract with Lochner for engineering services at the airport. An ordinance also will be presented authorizing an application for federal and state assistance associated with the airport runway project. City Administrator Darin Chappell will lead discussion regarding cost sharing with Livingston County for GIS aerial pictures. The administrator also will consider accepting Arrowhead and Blackhawk streets in the Sunset Village Subdivision. An executive session, closed to the public, is scheduled to follow the regular meeting.
